Total entry fee with options: $250

Vehicle and launch fees will be collected the day of the event.  Annual passes will be honored.

In consideration of permitting me to enter this event, I personally & on behalf of my Heirs, Successors, Servants, Assigns, Executors, Administrators, Guardians, Conservators, herby release, discharge, cancel, waive, covenant not to sue, acquit,, and hold harmless Castaic Lake, Friends of Castaic Lake, County of Los Angeles, and State of California & their partners, employees, officials, volunteers, successors, shareholders, directors, officers, representatives, attorneys, & assigns collectively (State of California, Friends of Castaic Lake & County of Los Angeles) & agree to hold them free & harmless for, from, against any and all claims, judgments, appeals, rights, demands, costs,  liabilities, obligations, actions & causes of actions of any character whatsoever, whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, arising from negligence or otherwise, including but not limited to, all liabilities for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death caused by such negligence.  I also agree to indemnify, including reasonable attorney’s fees, resulting from any claim  made by me or my agent’s or successor’s interests.  I have read & understand this release of the potential dangers incidental to engaging in such activity & I understand the legal consequences of signing this release form.

Bassing For Kids Team Bass Tournament Rules

1.        This is a team event, participants can fish solo, or with a partner.  No three in a boat!

2.        There limit will be five black bass, 13 inches or longer, measured on a flat board.

3.        Once a limit is achieved, and a sixth fish is boated, each fisherman must stop fishing and commence culling.  Only five bass allowed in the live  well at a time.

4.        25 yard encroachment rule in affect at all times.  Let’s show some sportsmanship out there!

5.        No casting over buoy lines into off limits areas.  Off limits areas will be noted at the pre tournament meeting.

6.        .2 lb deduction for any dead fish weighed in.  Loss of 1 lb. for any short fish in addition to losing the weight of that fish.

7.        No live bait permitted.

8.        Only one rod and reel combination may be used at a time by each participant.

9.        All California boating laws and Castaic Lake regulations will be strictly enforced.

10.      No Alcohol allowed.

11.      Kill switch must be attached to driver whenever the outboard engine is operating.

12.      Life jackets must be worn while the outboard engine is running.

13.      35 MPH speed limit on main lake and 5 MPH in coves will be enforced. 

14.      Any teams that receive a citation or ticket for breaking lake rules by County Police or Lifeguards will be disqualified.

15.      Any violation of tournament rules will result in disqualification.

Let’s make this a fun tournament that benefits youth fishing events at Castaic Lake.
