Spend the day exploring Castaic Lake! Fishing boats are available for rent at the West Ramp on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether you’re fishing, sightseeing, or enjoying a day on the water, we have everything you need to get started.
No reservations available - rentals are first come, first served.
Boat Rental Hours
Wednesday-Sunday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Last rental goes out at 3:30 PM

Castaic Lake is currently closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Additional closures or changes to lake operations may also occur.

Rental Requirements
To rent a fishing boat:
✓ Must be 18 years or older
✓ Must provide a valid driver’s license
✓ Rentals are available first come, first served
✓ No reservations accepted

Senior Discount:
Seniors (65+) receive 20% off All-Day Boat Rentals Monday–Friday. Discount excludes holidays.
Boat & Lake Rules:
All RMRC and lake rules and regulations must be followed at all times. Failure to comply may result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit. Deposits may also be forfeited if the boat is returned late or is not returned in the same clean condition as when it was rented.
Pet Friendly:
Dogs are welcome at the lake and on our rental boats.
What’s Included With Your Rental?
Every boat rental includes:
✓ Fuel (one 3-gallon tank included)
✓ Personal flotation devices (life jackets)
✓ Paddle
✓ Anchor
Additional fuel tanks are available for $15 each.
Boating Rules & Safety
For everyone’s safety, please follow these lake rules:
🚤 Maximum speed limit: 35 MPH
🐢 Cove and launch ramp speed limit: 5 MPH
↩️ Follow the counter-clockwise direction of travel
🚫 Stay clear of designated restricted areas
