Join us for an unforgettable night of fishing under the stars!​​Friends of Castaic Lake invites you to Moonlight Madness, a unique nighttime fishing event at beautiful Castaic Lake.

 

Whether you’re fishing from shore or launching your boat, you’ll enjoy an evening on the water with fellow anglers while supporting Friends of Castaic Lake and our mission to enhance and preserve the lake for everyone.

Event Information

Check-In Begins: 6:30 PM

Water Entry: 7:30 PM

Off Water: 12:30 AM

Location: Castaic Lake - West Ramp

 

Safety Requirements

Every participant is required to have a light stick.

Moonlight Madness takes place after sunset when visibility on the water is limited. Light sticks help lifeguards, volunteers, and fellow boaters easily identify participants and contribute to a safer event for everyone.

All boats must also pass a lifeguard safety inspection before entering the water.

Check-In Process

  1. Arrive before 7:30 PM.

  2. Check in with Friends of Castaic Lake.

  3. Receive your vehicle ribbon and light stick(s).

  4. Boaters proceed to the required lifeguard safety inspection.

  5. Launch when directed by staff.

Do I need to pre-register?

Pre-registration is encouraged to speed up check-in, but on site registration will be available if space permits.

 

Do I need a light stick?

Yes. Every participant must have one.

 

Can I fish without a boat?

Absolutely! Select the Car Entry (No Boat) ticket if you’ll be fishing from shore.

 

What if I’m bringing additional anglers?

Additional participants can be added during checkout.Support Friends of Castaic Lake.
