Castaic Lake will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until further notice.
KIOSK ATTENDANT ONLY ACCEPTS CASH OR CREDIT CARD FOR DAILY ENTRANCE FEES.
BILLS LARGER THAN $20.00 ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
Lake Hours
Castaic Lake Recreation Area is open year-round. Hours vary seasonally and may change due to weather, lake conditions, or special events.

General Seasonal Hours
March 1 – October 31
Recreation Area: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Restrooms: 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM
November 1 – February 28
Recreation Area: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Restrooms: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Please check with the entrance gate upon arrival for current “off the water” times.
Lower Lake Hours
Wednesday–Sunday: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Swim Beach Hours
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (seasonal)

Annual membership may be purchased online or at the entrance gate with cash or credit card.

California State Park Passes are not accepted at Castaic Lake Recreation Area.

During busy summer weekends, the park may close when maximum capacity is reached. Please plan accordingly.

Castaic Lake Recreation Area is located in northern Los Angeles County, just off Interstate 5 in the community of Castaic.

Getting Here
From Los Angeles:
Take Interstate 5 north and exit at Lake Hughes Road.
From Ventura:
Take Highway 126 east to Interstate 5, then exit at Lake Hughes Road.
Main Launch Ramp (West Ramp)
To access the Main Launch Ramp, take Lake Hughes Road approximately 2 miles uphill.
The entrance will be on your left.
Once inside the park, follow signs to the West Ramp.
