Bird Walks

Although there are many various kinds of wildlife at Castaic Lake, one of the easiest types to find are the countless species of birds. The trails offer easy access for Bird Walks that are offered through the county. Walks are conducted by trained naturalists and are held on the 1st Saturday of every month.

Special Events

Many groups use both the upper and lower lake areas for triathlons, cross country events and track meets. The Department of Parks and Recreation offers county wide recreational opportunities at 177 diverse locations, including parks, equestrian trails and golf courses. Many of these sites are available for corporate functions, film locations, weddings and other special events.
